The Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 is one of India’s most sacred pilgrimages dedicated to Lord Shiva. Every year, lakhs of devotees visit the holy Amarnath Cave in Jammu & Kashmir to seek blessings of the naturally formed Ice Shivling.
The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) has officially announced that the Amarnath Yatra 2026 will begin on 3 July 2026 and continue till 28 August 2026.
The holy Amarnath Cave is located in the Himalayan region of Jammu & Kashmir, at an altitude of around 3,888 meters (12,756 feet) above sea level. The cave is famous for the naturally formed Ice Shivling, which is considered highly sacred by Hindu devotees.
